Overview
FGL tokens are earned by sending your starships on missions. When you start the game you have three mission slots, each slot requires one starship. While the ship is on the mission, it is unable to be used in battles. Once the mission is complete, you are granted your FGL token reward. You will need FGL Tokens in game to deploy your fleet into battle.
Token Mission Modifiers
The number of tokens you receive from a mission depends on the rarity starship that you send on it, the number of times it has been upgraded, and the galaxy that the starship is from.
For example, if you take an un-upgraded Rare starship from the Andromeda Galaxy, your base tokens earned would be:
Base Tokens Earned * 1.05 (rarity bonus) * 1.20 (galaxy bonus).

Mission Duration
The rarity of the starship also modifies the duration of the mission. A longer mission is often ideal as you have to check back in less often.

Deploying a Fleet
Deploying a fleet into battle will cost you FGL tokens. The higher the rarity of ship the more expensive it is to send into battle.
